The first release of the TMV Riesling, this aims to showcase the Tamar Valley & Tasmania in a more classical style.

From a warmer site than the Ziggurat Riesling, this was sourced from Swan Bay.  A cool season ended with a little ‘Indian Summer’, where the mild and dry weather allowed this parcel to ripen slowly and evenly, with natural balanced acidity.

Fruit was destemmed, and pressed slowly in a long and gentle program, only free run juice was taken for this cuvee.  Cold and slow ferment on light solids, ferment was arrested at 6.5g/L Residual Sugar to find balance.  Bottled August 2017, unfined.

Fragrant with rich lime, custard apple, lemon rind, salty nuance, soft talc.  Green apple, spiced lime juice and just-talc driven texture, this wine should reward long term cellaring in good conditions.
